Melodifestivalen 2024: Semi 2 Preview
I'll be keeping this a fairly brief one as with the conclusion of Sanremo tonight as well as UMK in Finland (OK fine Supernova too) there’s plenty on and Sweden's Melfest has had to take a backseat for the week.
The prediction is as follows:
Liamoo
Maria Sur
Froken Snusk
C-Joe
Engmans Kapell
Dear Sara
I’m quite heavily following the audience poll of last night here with Liamoo performing very strongly. Maria Sur for me is the better entry and felt like having more televote appeal but I’m not going to go against the grain. Ms. Snusk may be somewhat disappointed with the poll outcome as it's the type of entry that should be doing better with the crowd to have a chance. The theory is that Sur is a safer act and will drop less points than Snusk does and therefore is comfortable in second. It is however a very uneven semi and the two could share all the 10s and 12s between them, making it tight. By process of elimination, C-Joe gets 4th whilst Engmans and Sara do battle to avoid last. Engman's has slightly more character and I am deeply unimpressed with the performance of ‘The Silence After You’ so Sara is the tip for last.
