Italy 2023: Marco Mengoni with ‘Due Vite’

After winning San Remo, Marco Mengoni will return to the Eurovision stage 10 years on, in all likelihood with his winning entry ‘Due Vite’:

I'll try to keep this one brief with Marco teasing a song change and a significant revamp due at a minimum.

This is very much Italy in second gear but that's still a level many countries would love to be at and one strong enough to make this one of the better confirmed entries so far.

Mengoni delivering this with passion may enable it to match or even beat ‘Brividi’’s result from last year despite not being as strong a song. Many viewers tuning in will be looking for a safe (good) entry and so far this is the one. Juries should also be very respectful and if all our confirmed entrants were forced to perform this now on the Liverpool stage this should be the critic's choice. Overall at this stage I'm assuming it's around 5th with both sides but with room to be higher, particular if remaining artists dissapoint or wrong choices are made. Not to be dismissed although I'm expecting something close to his 2013 result for now.
